چکیده

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a high-performance widely used as building material. The present investigation examines the effects of age and cooling type (air-cooled water-cooled) SCC after being exposed to elevated temperatures compares them those normal conventional (NCC). Two types concrete; i.e., NCC SCC, were developed studied for early-age residual strengths. was with three different admixtures; namely, fly ash (FA), silica fume (SF) metakaolin (MK) binder materials, by replacing cement. mechanical characteristics FA- SF-blended before heating show similar results, whereas MK-based possesses greater strength than other mixes. In case specimens high temperature 1000℃, MK-blended produced lowest compared SF-based Further microstructural conducted examine internal structure various temperatures. From it concluded that higher gain upon aging, loss rise. KEYWORDS: concrete, Fly ash, Silica fume, Metakaolin, Residual strength, Microstructure.

Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Self Compacting Polymeric Concrete with Backpropagation Network

Acrylic polymer that is highly stable against chemicals and is a good choice when concrete is subject to chemical attack. In this study, self-compacting concrete (SCC) made using acrylic polymer, nanosilica and microsilica has been investigated. The results of experimental testing showed that the addition of microsilica and acrylic polymer decreased the tensile, compressive and bending strength...

Rheological and Mechanical Properties of Light Weight Self-Compacting Concrete Containing Sirjan Iron Mine Waste

Recycling is a logical option for materials that are not suitable for composting. One of these materials is iron mines waste that, according to their compounds, can be used as a substitute part of cement in concrete. For this aim, rheological and mechanical properties and durability of light weight self-compacting concrete (LWSCC) containing Sirjan iron mine waste (SIMW) as partial substitute o...

Mechanical and Microstructural Evaluations of Lightweight Aggregate Geopolymer Concrete before and after Exposed to Elevated Temperatures

This paper presents the mechanical and microstructural characteristics of a lightweight aggregate geopolymer concrete (LWAGC) synthesized by the alkali-activation of a fly ash source (FA) before and after being exposed to elevated temperatures, ranging from 100 to 800 °C. The results show that the LWAGC unexposed to the elevated temperatures possesses a good strength-to-weight ratio compared wi...
